Sugartown Strawberries is a real, working farm, growing vegetables, sweet corn, melons and strawberries on about 100 acres of tillable land.
Farmer Bob has also protected a good portion of the farm, forests, and serpentine barrens in perpetuity. He loves the land, and this love is contagious to every child and adult that tours the farm.
Every visit includes a hayride, and because we care about the kids safety, our wagons do have protection railings, and we use stairs to be sure everyone gets on the wagon safely. We are more than happy to lift children with physical disabilities onto the wagons if they are willing.
Class picnics are welcome. We have several scenic, shady picnic areas for multiple classes, including a spot under our 300 year old white oak tree. We have several picnic areas with beautiful views of the farm if your group wishes to bring their lunch or snack. Our country store also sells old fashion candy, soda, chips and bottled water. We also have plenty of room for buses and cars in our parking area.
Costs: Tours are $5 for each person. One teacher for every 15 children is free of charge. Adult chaperones and student siblings are asked to pay for the tour, and will also receive a free pumpkin. Tours are for kindergarten and up.
Educational Tours are also available, upon request. Call Bob or Kristina at
