Sugartown Strawberries is located on Willisbrook Farm, approximately 230 acres in Chester County, Pennsylvania. This is a working farm and has been in the family since 1896. In 1996, Governor Ridge visited to commemorate our status as a Pennsylvania Century Farm. The farm has 100 acres of tillable land, 50 acres of pastureland, and 80 acres of woodland. More than 20 horses live on the farm, who make a beautiful backdrop for our hayrides.
Robert Lange, a/k/a "Farmer Bob" founded Sugartown Strawberries in the 1980s. While we still grow the most delicious strawberries around, we now also offer a variety of vegetables, sweet corn, melons, sunflowers and more!
Farmer Bob and his family have protected a large portion of the family farm in perpetuity. 112 acres of the original farm have been gifted, protected or donated toward the goal of preserving open space in Willistown Township. There are rare Serpentine Barrens, and many beautiful acres of forests and easements.
Bob has been a lifetime member of the Audubon Society since 1971. Ask about our Purple Martin colony that migrates from Brazil to the farm each Spring! The farm property includes habitat certified by the National Wildlife Federation.
